One important thing that I quickly learned as a new business owner is that I will always be learning new things. There is no auto-pilot time. In fact, being on auto-pilot often leads to apathy. Poor customer service is a sign of apathy. We all have experienced less than hospitable service at some point in our lives. USDA subsidies were introduced to farmers during The Great Depression, so that farmers could get a fair price for their crops. The hope was that our nation would not go hungry. It was meant to be applied in times of crisis or emergency. Once that crisis was over, the intention was that the market would take back over.
